Emil Goh

New media artist Emil Goh (b. 1996–2009) was born in Malaysia, who was based in South Korea, Australia and Europe. Producing photography and video work, Goh's practice was predominantly centred around urban and city environments and how people respond to such environments. Goh was a founding member of the Asian Australian Artists' Association and Gallery 4A (now 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art). He died at his home in Seoul, Korea in 2009. 

He graduated from the University of Newcastle in Australia,and studied Photography and Sculpture at the Sydney College of Arts. He earned his MA of Fine Arts at Goldsmith College, London, in the late 1990s. He lived in Australia and Hong Kong before settling in Seoul, Korea, in 2004.
