Salvin was born and raised in Vitogo Village, Lautoka, Fiji and is a descendant of Tamil speaking Girmityas. He identifies as Indo-Fijian and Queer. Salvin moved to Australia in 2013 and has since worked as a warehouse assistant, a teacher, and a social worker. Salvin enjoys writing, illustrating and performing while connecting to community and culture. His works include a self-published series of children's books called Fiji-Baat.
