Join us for a 🍬 White Rabbit candy 🍬 making workshop, sharing in a beloved and nostalgic moment of respite and slowness between the Years of the Snake and the Fire Horse.
Conceived in collaboration with artist Nguyễn Ngọc Thảo (@), the workshop draws on ideas of yin and yang foods in Chinese culture, and the symbolic place of White Rabbit candy within Lunar New Year traditions. Milk, understood as a cooling food, offers a gentle counterpoint to the testing energy of the Snake year and the burning momentum of the Fire Horse, creating space for rest and balance as we move between cycles.
The afternoon begins with brewing tea using a range of auspicious ingredients alongside native Australian botanicals. Participants are then invited to set intentions for the year ahead, design personalised wrappers, and make and package their own batch of White Rabbit candy to share, gift or take home.
This workshop is suitable for kids. Each child and parent will require separate tickets. Ingredients and on-site tools will be provided.
🍬Come and share in this sweetness with us!
